The Twelve Dreams Of The Sun: Master Of Ceremonies Jean Michel Jarre Bringing In The New Dawn (1999/2000)

The Twelve Dreams Of The Sun was a concert held by musician Jean Michel Jarre at the Pyramids of Giza, Egypt starting on December 31, 1999 and carrying overnight to January 1, 2000.

It was attended by 120,000 people. The concert consisted of two parts, the Main Concert and a Sunrise Concert.

The concert cost approximately $9,500,000 and it originated when Jean-Michel Jarre was contacted by the Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak with a special project to celebrate the dawn of the new Millennium at the foot of the only remaining monument of the original 7 Wonders of the World - the Great Pyramids.

Jarre's team had developed giant projections to be displayed on the faces of the Great Pyramids, however a heavy cloud of fog made the pyramids almost invisible, so most of the projections were discarded. Parts of the concert were broadcast live on TV stations around the world.

Thank you to everyone who has viewed, followed, subscribed and shared the information found herein this blog. I will see you all on the other side - in 2012! Happy New Year! Enjoy the music!

‘A Voodoo Christmas In South Norwood’: An Alternative Xmas Mix

If, like me, you find the constant barrage of the same old shitty Christmas music in shops and restaurants at this time of year mind-numbing - excruciating even - then this is the perfect antidote. I mean, I’m not being Scrooge here, I do like Christmas and all but I could die happily without ever hearing the fucking “Frog Chorus” ever again. As if Christmas shopping wasn’t stressful enough!

So praise be for dj, writer and Voodoo practitioner Stephen Grasso, who has put together two mixes of tunes guaranteed to warm even the most humbugging of your icy cockles.

Girls On Film: Duran Duran Transformed Into The World's Leading Supermodels In The 80s Icons' New Controversial Video

There are not many people who can ask the world's leading supermodels to step in their shoes.

So it's just as well that one of Duran Duran happens to be married to one of them who has a circle of beautiful famous friends just ready to lend a hand.

Yasmin Le Bon, married to the pop group's front man Simon, called on her catwalk queen friends Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Eva Herzigova and Helena Christensen to join her play the parts of the iconic 80s band in their new video.

In the nine minute, 35 seconds long video for their new single Girl Panic, the girls take on the roles of singer Le Bon, drummer Roger Taylor, bassist John Taylor and keyboard player Nick Rhodes in the video which is a half parody-half homage to the music and fashion industry.

It follows the supermodels as they take it in turns to talk about about being in an infamous band, while footage is shown of them partying in a hotel suite, swigging back champagne while young models cavort around them and kiss each other.

Naked, Pregnant And Painted In Gold! Bizarre Posthumous Photoshoot Of Anna Nicole Smith

Before her tragic passing in 2007, Anna Nicole Smith was well known her outrageous behaviour.

But in a bizarre never-seen-before photo shoot, it appears that she took things to a whole other level.

New snaps show the late actress and model completely naked and painted in gold.

Taken while she was pregnant with her now five-year-old daughter Danielynn, Smith's modesty is merely covered by her arm and a thick veil of the metallic paint.

The logo of the company is also stencilled on her baby bump in black, running down to her left thigh.

The new images surfaced from internet casino Golden, the company for which they say Smith was the face of.

She had agreed to become their spokesperson after her son Daniel passed away in 2006.

Fashion Collective Three As Four's “Insalaam Inshalom” Exhibition: Occult Symbolism Uniting Judaism And Islam

On Sunday night, the fashion collective Three as Four opened its highly anticipated exhibition “Insalaam Inshalom” at the Beit Ha’Ir Center for Urban Culture in Tel Aviv, bringing to fruition a project over two years in the making. Covering the walls of the four-story building in fabric printed with their spring collection’s central motifs, which are made of a mix of Muslim and Jewish symbols, the designers Gabi Asfour, Adi Gil and Ange Donhauser invited 10 artists to show works that relate to the project’s central notion: that Judaism and Islam can live side by side. “We’ve accumulated the energy of artists and performers who are like-minded,” Asfour said. “We tried to balance things from all sides, though it’s always difficult.”
